Slow down and switch off in unique and beautiful surroundings. Feel miles away, yet close to home.

The Admiral’s House is situated on a solitary and charming piece of the Bere Island landscape. Built around 1900, The Admiral’s House was once the married quarters of British Army Officers residing on Bere Island. After Ireland’s independence it was transferred to the Irish Army. Later on the house was used by the Glènans’ Sailing School ,who christened it The Admiral’s House.

The house is very spacious with six en-suite bedrooms sleeping 12 people, although additional beds may be available upon request.

Downstairs there is an en-suite bedroom, a full bathroom, a kitchen with a pantry, a living room and a large dining room. This floor is wheelchair friendly and there is ramp-access into the house.

Most of the spaces above are met with panoramic views of the beautiful mountainous surroundings and the harbour, which would take your breath away even on the rainiest of days.

The house is situated just feet away from a small strand which meets the harbour. Additionally, there are various beaches just a stone-throw away from the house. The village of Rerrin and the Pier are just a short walk away.
